Pixie says she is more of a “real artist”, because she actually writes her own material – unlike other singers in the charts.
She said: “Being a writer makes you more of a real artist. You can put your own stamp on your work. When I’m singing my own tracks I give a more honest performance.”
“People can go on the ‘X-Factor’ and automatically attract millions of viewers and a massive fan base.” Virgin Media quotes her saying. “But I think it’s better to work your own way up, through hard work.”
Pixie releases her third single ‘Cry Me Out’ on November 30.

Pixie Lott has told of her excitement at crossing paths with Beyonce at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Pixie said: “I didn’t actually meet her but we were in the same area as the other nominees and Beyonce had just performed, she was absolutely amazing and she was literally sitting right next to us and I was like, ‘ahhh, oh my god!’ – she is just amazing.”

Pixie already knows what she’s doing this Christmas – she’s going skiing with her family. She told Daily Star:

Pixie Lott has made a new friend in Leona Lewis, after the pair met recently.
Pixie flew out to Cuba to film the music video for her next single ‘Cry Me Out’, when she bumped into Leona who also filmed her latest music video there.
“She is a really nice, down-to-earth girl.” Pixie said of Lewis. “I like her a lot and it was good to meet up.
