Pixie Lott recently sat down for an interview and did a photo shoot for The Mirror. In the article she talks about her musical influences, boys, her style and those short £350 shorts she’s always performing in. I don’t know why the Mirror chose to use a photo of such poor quality, but I hope a better quality one pops up soon. Read the interview below and after the jump:
‘Neither of my parents are musical or singers, especially not my mum, ha ha. So I don’t know where I get my voice from. But my mum loves music – she brought me up on Take That – and I’ve sung ever since I can remember.
As previously mentioned, Pixie features in the current issue of InStyle Magazine. They used the headline “Our new, favourite pop star” – I couldn’t agree more! Here are some of the quotes from the spread: 10 things you need to know about Pixie Lott.
1. “Mum told me I’ve been singing since I was in my cot. Which is strange because I’m from the least musical family. Ever. I must be a genetic throwback!”

Pixie just updated her Twitter and in the message she reveals that she’s about to board a flight to Amsterdam where she will be promoting. And by the sounds of it, she’ll be promoting all over Europe. Good luck Pixie!

Pixie Lott and fellow new artist Little Boots have been compared quite a bit in the press and the comparison seems a little unfounded. They both came out with music at similar times and they’re both female, but apart from that there are no comparisons, in my opinion. Their music is completely different and they are 2 very different artists.
Little Boots was asked about it in a recent interview, and even she says they’re very different and shouldn’t really be compared: “Pixie Lott is a million miles away from La Roux or me. Everyone just puts us in the same genre but we are all just female. We don’t really have anything in common. We’re all very different artists.”

Pixie Lott and a host of other artists, such as N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder, a teaming up to record a new single for charity.
The release will raise funds and awareness for War Child. The single is titled ‘I Got Soul’ and is a cover of The Killers song ‘All These Things I Have Done’
The single is being recorded today (July 6) and will be hitting shelves in August. Dappy of N-Dubz told the Daily Star: “This is going to be something truly special and go down in history.”
Pixie Lott has admitted she finds it difficult resting her voice – because she loves to talk.
Lott, 18, said she was once advised to keep quiet for a week, which she found a massive challenge.
“One time I had to rest my voice for a week and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life because I love talking,” she told the Daily Star.
Pixie has been supporting The Saturdays on their “The Work Tour 2009″ and I found this video of her performing “Here We Go Again.” I love this song and it’s cool to hear it live. She sings well live while dancing! Check it out below:
Pixie Lott has revealed that she’s never had a serious boyfriend. The 18-year-old beauty is on the hunt for love because she has never been in a serious relationship.
She said: “Everyone says you’re supposed to find love at festivals. I didn’t find any love. I’ve not really had a boyfriend. I don’t really know why, I’ve had little things, but not a serious boyfriend. There was one person I went out with at school, but it was like a month long.”
